GENERAL INFORMATION

The Connecticut State Police maintains some Lost & Found property at Bradley International Airport, depending on the location in the airport.  Please read carefully and contact the appropriate agency when looking for your lost item.

PLEASE NOTE:  Items are held for six (6) months from the date it was found. Perishable items, such as food, will be discarded the same day the item is found. 

ABANDONED PROPERTY –  Items left behind because they were not able to be brought on an aircraft for whatever reason, will be discarded by the State Police.

REMINDER: Unattended items left in the airport are considered security risks.

Car keys, eye glasses, and sunglasses are not logged into the lost & found system. They are placed into boxes in our lobby under the telephones. The public is welcome to visit our lobby and look through the boxes to find any of these lost items.

TSA has an online form for all lost property requests.  This is for all items left in the security checkpoint area.

If we do have your item we may request more information from you and once we have verified you are the owner we will provide you with your Property #

HOW DO I GET MY ITEM BACK

IN-PERSON PICKUP

Items can be picked up 24/7 at the State Police barracks located at 236 Firehouse Rd, Windsor Locks. 

If you wish to have an authorized person pickup your item for you, please contact the State Police and provide us with the name of the person who will be picking it up on your behalf. 

Please have the following with you when you come to pick up your item.

  • The Property Number for your item.
  • A Photo ID. 

If you are having an authorized person pickup your item, please provide them with this information as well as our location.

SHIPPING MY ITEM

In the event that you are not able to pickup your item in-person, you can have it shipped back to you via FedEx.

IMPORTANT: THE CT STATE POLICE WILL NOT PAY FOR ANY SHIPPING. YOU MUST PRE-PAY ALL SHIPPING CHARGES.

***** TO AVOID ISSUES WITH PAYMENT, PLEASE ENSURE THE “FROM” ADDRESS MATCHES YOUR PAYMENT CARD BILLING ADDRESS. DO NOT USE THE STATE POLICE ADDRESS. FEDEX, OCCASIONALLY,  REVIEWS SHIPMENTS AND MAY ADJUST YOUR CHARGES BASED ON THE ACTUAL DROP OFF LOCATION.

IF YOU ARE SHIPPING A LARGER ITEM, SUCH AS A ROLLER BAG, BE SURE TO ENTER AN APPROPRIATE SIZE AND WEIGHT WHEN PURCHASING YOUR LABEL. IF YOU DO NOT, FEDEX MAY CHARGE YOU ADDITIONAL FEES UPON DELIVERY. *****
